I have had a wonderful experience with Complete Dentistry. I needed a full extraction on both top and bottom followed by 8 implants and a prosthetic on both top and bottom. The surgery was extremely invasive but Complete Dentistry took care of me and all my pain management needs. Since the surgery I have been given outstanding follow up with many office visits and replacements on temporary bridges that broke. (It is normal for the temporary to break, and I was able to be immediately seen and get a replacement within like 3 days. Dr. Barker and the rest of the care team are caring and thorough. They have addressed all of my medical and esthetic concerns with careful attention. I would not hesitate to recommend Complete Dentistry to anyone!!! And the teeth are gorgeous 😍

I loved this dentist office for years when I saw Dr. Barker. The hygienist Jessica is great - I have only good things to say about her. However, I saw new dentists my last few visits. At my last visit, I was told I needed 4 fillings at once after never needing any. I had 2 of them done, but then the office stopped accepting my insurance. I went to a new dentist in-network to get a new treatment plan for the other 2 teeth. The new dentist stated I didn’t need any fillings and the 2 that Jacksonville Complete Dentistry had done were so surface level it was more like a sealant and one was a sealant with stain remaining underneath. So caution - get a second opinion if you go here and suddenly need a lot of work.

Overall, fantastic experience...even during these crazy Covid times. I specifically searched for a reputable Prosthodontist in Jacksonville after I recently moved to the area. There wasn't much to choose from, but I KNOW I made the right choice. All of the staff I met were very friendly, personable, and accommodating. As a new patient, I was in and out pretty quickly with x-rays, pictures, and exam by Dr. Barker. Already looking forward to my next cleaning...some dentist offices can be a pain...this one is by far one of the better ones!!! I definitely recommend! Edit- 2 years later and still always a great experience. Found out my employer’s dental insurance isn’t covered here after recent letter to me mailed by the dentist. However, still no co-pay after my recent cleaning this week and seems my hygienist changed at some point, but no complaints 👌

I had 2 teeth pulled in one visit. The Dental assistant hooked me up to oxygen then nitrous-oxide for the proceedure. After a few needles I was numb and Dr. Barker proceeded with the removal. One tooth was stubborn but it came out. I couldn't tell if the nitrous worked or if I was relaxed just from laying in the chair. Dr. Barker finished about 5;30 pm but my prescriptions couldn't be filled til 8;30 pm. Needless to say the numbing effect had worn off and the pain was getting rough. However by 10;00 pm all was good and the next day I had no pain. Great job Doc...

Two days before the appointment I called to ask them if they wear face masks, and they said:'Yes.'' But, the lady at the desk had a face mask with her nose sticking out, and Dr. barker wasn't wearing one. When I asked why he didn't have one. He answered;" you don't have one either.' I went there with the mask on. The only reason I did not have one at that moment it was because they were checking my mouth. His arrogant answer was a provocative insult, and his behavior with that smirk on his face was very disrespectful, and unprofessional. And, when we were talking about why he wasn't wearing a mask, he gave me that attitude of superiority like who am I to question his practices. Your degree doesn't make you a better person, or better than anyone else if your passion is just to make money and have no consideration for your patients. His behavior towards me was demeaning and spiteful. Now, I know some people don't believe in face masks, but I do expect that people wear them in a medical facilities and especially because I asked them prior the appointment.Unfortunately, we live in a world were life is cheap, humans have no values, and it gets worse each year. There's not respect, empathy, and compassion.

Dr. Barker is the best dentist I have ever had. He is obviously a perfectionist and everything he has done for me has been top notch. If I have an emergency, the office fits me in as quickly as possible. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and welcoming and I don't hate going to the dentist any more!

Nice office, good looking staff, a perfect front for the poor skill and knowledge that awaits you if you need to do anything involving more than a cleaning. The Crown they put for me and refused to replace at my request is already feeling like it wants to break off, I think he ground the hell out of my tooth, and I know he ground the hell out of my new and used-to-be perfectly shaped crown done by Dr. Rose. He knew he messed it up because he tolled me that my tooth is more likely to break than the crown, I guess so, when he grinds the living daylights out of it. Due to my experience I absolutely don't recommend Dr. Barker

In February and March I received the following services and each service would receive a 5 star rating. 1. 6 month dental exam and cleaning. From the front desk staff, my hygienist and Dr. Barker - everyone is professional and efficient. They practice gentle dentistry also. 2. With the Spa (a service this dental office provides) a. A facial with Annette. Absolutely love the facial. I try and see Annette once a month. This is not a luxury item to me. It helps me maintain my overall healthy glow and is so relaxing. The facial supports me on so many levels. My doctor also supports this monthly session. Proper health maintenance is not about popping pills. Annette has taught me so many things about my facial health and skin in general. And I have gained a close friend too. b. Massage by Angie. Excellent. I try and have two massages per month and it helps me maintain chronic pain and inflammation control. This is an absolute must for me. My doctor supports this decision as a path to proper wellness management. In fact they encourage me to go as often as possible. Angie has such a special touch and can tell immediately when I am having a flare-up, without me advising her. Extremely Disappointed that the new owner has elected at this time not to continue with the massage therapists service within the Spa. For me this immediately impacts and affects my overall health. I truly hope the new owner reconsiders and offers the massage therapist services soon. There are other great massage therapists in the Jacksonville area, but the specialized training that Angie has, takes my level of pain management and wellness up several levels. A huge game changer for me.

I have seen Dr Barker and his team twice. The first time I was in a lot of pain and my dentist couldn't see me. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed each time. Dr Barker, Angie, and Bonnie are amazing people and will continue my dental care with them. Update: I went back in for another appointment and Brittany did such an amazing job with my temporary crown that I'm not sure I want a permanent even though I have to and she had me laughing the whole time.
