I had my first visit at this office today and it was amazing! I usually hate x rays but Alexis probably did the best and most comfortable set of x-rays that I’ve ever had. She was super quick and efficient and really explained each step. I also had the pleasure of meeting dentist Rose and she was wonderful as well! She was very knowledgeable and gentle, and addressed all of my concerns. She took the time to explain everything and she even provided prevention methods to solve some of my concerns. This office feels like a family already and I am thankful to have them in jax!

Dr. Rose and all the hygienists are very nice, and the practice is clean (although overdecorated in a very dated style). Unfortunately, their billing and reception are not good. I went for a cleaning and exam today, and when I checked out I was told I had a $247 balance from my previous visit because they no longer accept my insurance. They didn't tell me this before my last appointment or at this appointment when I arrived, and they never sent me a bill. They previously sent me a bill for a visit several months ago and stated they were out of network, but when I inquired about it they just said they "fixed" it. Since then, my husband and I both have gone for cleanings and exams and asked if there were any billing or insurance issues and we were told no...until today. I even asked the receptionist if she knew I had an insurance they didn't accept when she checked me in, and she said yes, but they sent letters (which I never got) to patients and she assumed I knew. They're good but not enough for me to not use the insurance I have and pay out of pocket. BEWARE!!!!

We are a military family and have had to switch dental care every 3 yrs or so. Dr. Rose Johnson is amazing!!! I went in as a new patient, newer to the area. I have an issue with my 2 front teeth that I have been putting off. I had my cleaning, X-rays, etc...she explained the plan and sent me on my way. I thought about it all afternoon. I had been told by my previous Dentist of a different way to correct the problem, both expensive options. I was left with 2 very different ways of looking at my case, not sure what I should do?? I asked if I could briefly speak with the doctor as I had a few questions and wanted to better understand her plan. Without an appointment, she welcomed me back in the same afternoon and spent almost an hour with me discussing her plan putting my mind at ease, and answering my questions. She even took a more in depth X-ray to explain something better for me free of charge. This was way above and beyond what I ever expected. She put my mind at ease and I scheduled my procedure. I have full confidence that she will do great work!! So glad I found a great dentist who really takes her time to answer questions and explain things.

I just moved to Jacksonville a year ago. Had an chipped tooth and went to the dentistry to have it looked at. Dr. Rose examined my tooth and gave me options on how to take care of my cracked tooth. She gave me the pros and cons on each option with out putting pressure on me to decide or use her practice. I ended up putting a crown on it and she did a great job. I liked her better than the dentist I was using in Indianapolis. I went back to the practice to have my teeth whitening and to have a facial. I chose to use Zoom. It took about two hours because it having impression made to use later. The most important part is having you gums covered/protected so you don't have any sensitivity after or during the process. Annette performed the procedure and she did a great Job! I had no pain or sensitivity after the procedure. My teeth and smile looks great. I ask Annette about the spa services and about getting my skin looked at to determine what service would benefit my face. Unknown to me Annette also provides the spa services. She recommended the signature facial. I had never had a facial before and wanted to try it. It was relaxing and my skin looked great the next day. I plan on going back for another. Annette answered all my questions and gave me some recommendations on how to keep my skin looking healthy and safe.

I've been going here for my last 2 cleanings and love it! Today I had two cavities filled. I am one of those child adults that freaks at the sight of needles. The dentist and assistant were so so patient with me. I asked for a double topical numbing application just to put my mind at ease because I really really lose it at the sight of a needle. They both gladly gave me another topical, even though it honestly probably didn't make me more numb (I know most of it is in my mind.) Dr. Rose told me to close my eyes and distracted me by massaging my inner cheek with her mirror tool. It made the needle, and more importantly the fear of the needle, so so much more easy for me. They really took care of me knowing my fear and they both kept checking on me during the procedure to make sure I was okay.

I am so pleased to write this review. I finally found a great doctor like Dr. Rose Johnson who is very ethical, dependable and caring. I have been seeing her for the last few months , was going thru several tooth issues, she recommended me to a specialist to have tooth extraction done and even went above and beyond to schedule the appointment for me with the specialist. When ever I am in pain I get the appointment scheduled on the same day. The staff is very friendly and extremely understanding. Dr. Rose is a great dentist, that's why the two stars or else it would be one. Their billing lady couldn't figure out how to do primary (BCBS) and suplemental insurance billing, which ended with me paying out of pocket for something I should not have seen a bill for at all. I contacted FEP BlueDental and they informed the lady never filed or called. If you pay for cleanings yourself, go here. If you use insurance and expect not to get a "may be filed for collections" letter, go elsewhere. EDIT 11/18/2017: I was contacted by the owner of the practice and was informed I was right and that I shouldn't have ever seen a bill. Then, they refunded my out of pocket expense. WOW! Additionally, JCD is under new ownership who obviously put customer service first. This is refreshing in today's world. I have sheduled a cleaning and my family and I will be returning to JCD. Thank you Drs Rose and Johnson!
