When you go to any Dentist there is always some sort of anxiety. Especially when growing up young, I went to only one, that Dentist has since passed, and I was 10 on the onset. I’m 70 now and have had a lot of dental work and Dentist’s in my life…..so far. The people who are the wage makers for the Dental profession are - number 1 -the front office women and men whom answer the phones and answer questions and make you feel “this is it - the one”! The second is the dental hygienists who are the money making professionals that keeps any dentist business grow and stay with word of mouth. (No pun intended). No search engine here on websites. Without those two elements of front office customer service and the dental hygienists, in particular Peyton, (a Hygentist) I probably would have found another group of Dentists. I have been coming to Jacksonville Complete Dentistry firm for 3-5 years or more. Every 6 months. . Dr Montoya is amazing with a molar of mine that had cracked with a root canal and it broke. He probably jokes to say smelly job and it was and the implant is perfect. My point is….Keep your teeth clean, see Peyton and the rest is history with extremely professional Dentists. I am a 70 year old woman who has never had a worse dental experience than my time at Jacksonville Complete Dentistry. My dentist, Wayne Barker spent no time with me explaining a treatment plan. I was told I had a fractured tooth and it needed to be extracted. During the extraction, Wayne Barker damaged a healthy tooth next to the fractured tooth and had to remove it as well. I also had a two tooth bridge removed and was left with a 4 tooth gap. I tried to explain to Wayne Barker that I had several health issues that were contraindicated for tooth implants. I am over 70, I have plaque psoriasis, I had a gum infection from the fractured tooth, and I have osteoarthritis. He discounted what I said and told me if I didn’t get bone grafts that day, I would limit my options. I felt bullied into this procedure. I asked to have gas and he said it would take an extra 20 minutes and he was already behind his schedule. During his rushed schedule, he broke a healthy tooth next to the tooth that was fractured. Again. I was left with a 4 tooth gap. I thought it might behoove me to have a partial plate, but I wasn’t given that option. I was told that I would get a temporary partial plate after 3 weeks. This would coincide with my stitches removal.At my 3 week appointment, I was told a partial plate wasn’t ordered. I was beyond upset because I called the office to ensure this was happening because I had an important social gathering that evening. The staff at Jacksonville Complete Dentistry, other than Wayne Barker have been very helpful and caring. I am a veteran and Jacksonville Complete Dentistry has a contract with the VA. I have seen the astronomical bills that have been submitted to the VA and have been paid. I hope someone will look into this and ensure others do not have a similar experience.

I loved this dentist office for years when I saw Dr. Barker. The hygienist Jessica is great - I have only good things to say about her. However, I saw new dentists my last few visits. At my last visit, I was told I needed 4 fillings at once after never needing any. I had 2 of them done, but then the office stopped accepting my insurance. I went to a new dentist in-network to get a new treatment plan for the other 2 teeth. The new dentist stated I didn’t need any fillings and the 2 that Jacksonville Complete Dentistry had done were so surface level it was more like a sealant and one was a sealant with stain remaining underneath. So caution - get a second opinion if you go here and suddenly need a lot of work.

From the moment I walked in, he was extremely professional, kind, and went far beyond the call of duty to educate me every step of the way. Because of past horrific dental experiences, I was absolutely petrified to have any dental work done. Dr. Sam was incredibly understanding, patient, and took extra steps to ensure I felt safe, heard, and comfortable throughout the entire process. I was also extremely impressed by his communication with his support staff and how seamlessly they worked together as a team—it was clear that mutual respect and care for the patient are top priorities in this practice. I would like to thank Dr. Asturia and his Dental assistant Clarissa for making my dental appointment one of the best I've had. I had been having excruciating tooth aches and was referred to Jacksonville Complete Dentistry for an exam. My original appointment was a week out. I called and explained the severity of my pain to the front desk. They were able to get me in the same day. That alone was my first good start with the Dentistry. Once I got to the office, my pain was unbearable. The front desk staff was very friendly and the office was very nicely kept. I was seen immediately. Dr. Asturia was the best! After a complete exam and viewing of my xray, he was able to find the Root cause of my pain. No pun intended. He and Clarissa worked together, and helped get my pain under control. I had strong positive energy from them. No one likes going to the dentist, but, if you must go, I strongly recommend going to Jacksonville Complete Dentistry.

I went to Jacksonville Complete Dentistry for a check up and cleaning today. Everyone from start to finish was friendly and knowledgeable in their areas. Check in was quick and easy. My appointment started on time with the hygienist who explained everything she was doing along the way. My teeth and gums are sensitive but somehow I didn’t feel a thing. Jessica was gentle yet able to remove all of the build up from my teeth. She offered some advice on how to better maintain my teeth. Lastly, the dentist came in and examined my mouth and went over my X-rays. He took his time and never made me feel like he was rushing on to the next patient. No one tried to upsell me anything either, which is unheard of these days in my opinion. Great experience!

Overall, fantastic experience...even during these crazy Covid times. I specifically searched for a reputable Prosthodontist in Jacksonville after I recently moved to the area. There wasn't much to choose from, but I KNOW I made the right choice. All of the staff I met were very friendly, personable, and accommodating. As a new patient, I was in and out pretty quickly with x-rays, pictures, and exam by Dr. Barker. Already looking forward to my next cleaning...some dentist offices can be a pain...this one is by far one of the better ones!!! I definitely recommend! This office has no empathy for peoples lives. I had been placed on a "same day" follow up status where I would have to call in to "see if there was an available appointment" every. single. day to see if there was a time slot to get seen! First off, I don't think thats professional at all especially being in a medical field. Are you kidding me?! I missed my one appointment because my father died and had to fly home for that and I missed my second appointment because I contracted Covid (probably from the flight) and was running a fever. I aplogize that calling in to my dental appointment was not top of my priorty list, I guess next time I'll just come in sick and get very else sick! I'll say this, I lived in San Diego and had the same dentist for over 10 years before moving to Jacksonville and on the rare occasion that "LIFE" actually did happen and I couldn't make it, they were more than understanding. Franky and Bonnie on the phone SEEMED to be understanding of my situation but must not have heard the words coming out of my mouth when I said It was beyond my control. Very dissapointing office and would not recommend this office to anyone who wants to feel like their dentist have their back or continue a long term relationship. Service wise: I felt like another customer anytime I DID go in there. It was like a numbers game to them, just another client which might be the reason why they could care less about losing my business. Oh well, Good riddance.

I just moved to Jacksonville a year ago. Had an chipped tooth and went to the dentistry to have it looked at. Dr. Rose examined my tooth and gave me options on how to take care of my cracked tooth. She gave me the pros and cons on each option with out putting pressure on me to decide or use her practice. I ended up putting a crown on it and she did a great job. I liked her better than the dentist I was using in Indianapolis. I went back to the practice to have my teeth whitening and to have a facial. I chose to use Zoom. It took about two hours because it having impression made to use later. The most important part is having you gums covered/protected so you don't have any sensitivity after or during the process. Annette performed the procedure and she did a great Job! I had no pain or sensitivity after the procedure. My teeth and smile looks great. I ask Annette about the spa services and about getting my skin looked at to determine what service would benefit my face. Unknown to me Annette also provides the spa services. She recommended the signature facial. I had never had a facial before and wanted to try it. It was relaxing and my skin looked great the next day. I plan on going back for another. Annette answered all my questions and gave me some recommendations on how to keep my skin looking healthy and safe.

My insurance doesn’t cover them and I will still continue to pay out of pocket to work with them that’s how amazing this place is! In February and March I received the following services and each service would receive a 5 star rating. 1. 6 month dental exam and cleaning. From the front desk staff, my hygienist and Dr. Barker - everyone is professional and efficient. They practice gentle dentistry also. 2. With the Spa (a service this dental office provides) a. A facial with Annette. Absolutely love the facial. I try and see Annette once a month. This is not a luxury item to me. It helps me maintain my overall healthy glow and is so relaxing. The facial supports me on so many levels. My doctor also supports this monthly session. Proper health maintenance is not about popping pills. Annette has taught me so many things about my facial health and skin in general. And I have gained a close friend too. b. Massage by Angie. Excellent. I try and have two massages per month and it helps me maintain chronic pain and inflammation control. This is an absolute must for me. My doctor supports this decision as a path to proper wellness management. In fact they encourage me to go as often as possible. Angie has such a special touch and can tell immediately when I am having a flare-up, without me advising her. Extremely Disappointed that the new owner has elected at this time not to continue with the massage therapists service within the Spa. For me this immediately impacts and affects my overall health. I truly hope the new owner reconsiders and offers the massage therapist services soon. There are other great massage therapists in the Jacksonville area, but the specialized training that Angie has, takes my level of pain management and wellness up several levels. A huge game changer for me.

I actually look forward to going to the dentist. This office is quick, efficient, and offers a relaxing environment. The staff is friendly, personable, and professional. I never have to wait long past my appointment time. The doctor is accessible, easy to talk to and down to Earth. They even have a spa. If you’re the type of person who hates the dentist, you can treat yourself for coming in with a massage or facial. The also worked with me while I was having difficulties with my insurance company.
