Dr. Sam is outstanding. JCD is affordable and I feel like they listen to me, to react! So many with other providers only listen, to respond. There's an enormous difference!

I loved this dentist office for years when I saw Dr. Barker. The hygienist Jessica is great - I have only good things to say about her. However, I saw new dentists my last few visits. At my last visit, I was told I needed 4 fillings at once after never needing any. I had 2 of them done, but then the office stopped accepting my insurance. I went to a new dentist in-network to get a new treatment plan for the other 2 teeth. The new dentist stated I didn’t need any fillings and the 2 that Jacksonville Complete Dentistry had done were so surface level it was more like a sealant and one was a sealant with stain remaining underneath. So caution - get a second opinion if you go here and suddenly need a lot of work.

Please check your insurance to make sure you are still in network. I’ve been a patient for years and used my benefits earlier this year with no issues. Showed up for my appointment recently and was told my insurance is now out of network and had to make a payment I wasn’t expecting.

Scam artists! Went in for my annual cleaning that should covered by insurance at 100%. They say now I owe them money and when I asked then about it, Daniella from “billing” said they over charge the insurance companies to see what they can get them to pay and then pick and choose what amount left over they decide to write off and what they want to bill the customer.

The entire staff is really friendly and caring, and Dr. Sam is a fantastic dentist that made my last few procedures smooth and painless. I had a tooth extraction, bone graft and some fillings and they all went great with no issues. They are also very affordable and don't try to stiff you with tons of overpriced pushy suggestions. All my questions and concerns are always answered, and I never feel as if I'm getting work done for no reason. I highly recommend.

Every person I interacted with was extremely nice and helpful. Before my first session, I called various dentists in Jax. They had the most affordable rates I found. At my appointment, I was extremely impressed by the service (better than what I paid much more for in the past), and I already scheduled my next appointment.

I went through the comments that multiple prior patients share my experience. It took several months to figure out that the treatment was not covered by insurance. I contacted the insurance company and they said the claims were submitted multiple times but only appealed once. Letter of necessity was not provided. I brought it up with the billing manager and office manager. Both gave contradicted statements from the documents provided by insurance company. I feel they do not want you to know that you have to pay out of pocket early on even they know likely it will be denied(per Aetna, deep cleaning has high denial rate). In this case you will keep getting multiple treatments so they can charge you out of pocket later on. It seems to be a pattern. Please everyone who is victim to their practice should report of board of dentistry so we have more cases against them.

The staff here is so nice. Very clean and modern office. Dr. Sam was very tentative also a great listener. Both him and the hygienist explained everything very detailed & clear for you to understand. I recommend them if you’re looking for a dentist. They also go over your insurance coverage so there are no surprise fees & charges.

These people are fraud. We have High Option PPO GEHA(CIGNA) Dental Insurance. They didn't tell us that they are out of network before all those expensive xrays, checkup. Once that is done they said we are out of network. These are scams . Not sure how much will we end up paying for nothing.

I came to Jacksonville Complete Dentistry to get a second opinion for a procedure my dentist had recommended. I was impressed with the level of service I received from everyone I encountered at the practice. I was very appreciative of the advice Dr. Barker extended. He even made some adjustments while I was there to avoid the need for further work on the tooth. Unfortunately, this practice is out of network for my insurance. However, if that ever changes I would not hesitate to make them my full time dentist!

Good service. Jessica and Chelsea are great! Apparently they are in negotiations with another dental insurance plan. Definitely call and see if they are in-network with your dental plan. If you are looking for a dental plan contact them to see which plan(s) they are in-network.

Overall, fantastic experience...even during these crazy Covid times. I specifically searched for a reputable Prosthodontist in Jacksonville after I recently moved to the area. There wasn't much to choose from, but I KNOW I made the right choice. All of the staff I met were very friendly, personable, and accommodating. As a new patient, I was in and out pretty quickly with x-rays, pictures, and exam by Dr. Barker. Already looking forward to my next cleaning...some dentist offices can be a pain...this one is by far one of the better ones!!! I definitely recommend! Edit- 2 years later and still always a great experience. Found out my employer’s dental insurance isn’t covered here after recent letter to me mailed by the dentist. However, still no co-pay after my recent cleaning this week and seems my hygienist changed at some point, but no complaints 👌

I have been a patient here for 20 years. Service has always been excellence yet they strive to improve your experience every visit. I now drive 3 hours to keep them as my dentist and I probably always will. So worth your time and reasonably priced
